DOUBLE EXPOSURE PORTRAIT

Surrealist Thoughts...

Ever sit in class and start day dreaming? Where did you go? What did you do?
I know I always end up in a place anywhere besides the place I am currently...
...it is my way of escaping, even if it is surreal or make-believe.
Do you ever wonder where those thoughts come from?
These are thoughts that are in your subconscious mind, just like regular dreams. This is what Surrealist artists like Salvador Dali,  Odilon Redon, Vladimir Kush, and Robert Gonsalves are interested in....Where do our thoughts come from? Who is the person behind the voice inside our head? Why doesn't everyone see or remember their dreams? Or see different images within an object or amongst the shadows?

Your Mission:

For this project you are going to use:
  • Photo of yourself (for extra credit) OR you can choose a person that is significant to your culture or heritage.                                                              ** This person will be your frame or the focal point .
  • Photos of nature that is representative of your nationality. Such as the nation's flower, animal, etc.
  • Photo of a monument or sculpture that is popular for your culture.
