STEP 1: Building a Google Slide Portfolio
Throughout the course of the school year, we will be creating a Google Slide Portfolio.
A portfolio is a place where you hold all of your work, allowing you to see your growth from the beginning to end of the school year.
The beauty about creating a digital portfolio using Google, is it will follow you as long as you have Google!
This is great for anyone who tends to misplace things easily.
You are now officially an artist so it is important you treat your portfolio as a professional version of yourself.
This means you want to showcase your absolute best. It is like branding yourself - you want to make people want to see more!
If you are one that is interested in the arts and would like art to be part of your future, a portfolio will be detrimental for your college preparation and/or career. Although it is very important to have, I will be here to guide you and help you build it throughout the year.

STEP 2: Getting to Know You
Now that you have created a Google Slide Portfolio and shared it with me. Create a new page in your portfolio.
Copy (CTRL C) and Paste (CTRL V) each question individually to your portfolio. You may only fit a few questions on each page depending on your answer. See my portfolio example to help you see how it should look.
These questions will allow me to get to know you a bit better, so please answer the questions to the best of your abilities, using complete sentences, and answer them truthfully.
1. What is your name/preferred name/nick name?
Where did this name come from? Are you named after anyone? Did someone special to you give you this nick name?
2. List at least 3 of your favorite songs and/or bands.
These songs/bands will be added to a playlist for our class to listen to during our studio days
3. What makes you awesome? Tell me at least 2 fun facts about yourself.
Do you have siblings? Do you play sports? Do you play an instrument? Did you get to travel or do anything exciting this summer?
4. What is your favorite food?
5. What is your favorite TV Show and/or movie?
6. What is something you would like to create in this class?
Posters? Portraits? Landscape? Shoe designs?
7. What is one goal you would like to achieve this year?
Your goal can be about anything - it does not have to be school related.
8. What type of art do you like the best and why?
Even if art is not your 'thing' we all support art in some way shape or form.
Art Forms: Music, Writing, Animation, Painting, Computer Art, Fashion, Cosmetology, Acting, Advertisements, Drawing, etc.
