SURREAL TRAVEL POSTER

Surrealist Thoughts...

Ever sit in class and start day dreaming? Where did you go? What did you do?
I know I always end up in a place anywhere besides the place I am currently...
...it is my way of escaping, even if it is surreal or make-believe.
Do you ever wonder where those thoughts come from?
These are thoughts that are in your subconscious mind, just like regular dreams. This is what Surrealist artists like Salvador Dali,  Odilon Redon, Vladimir Kush, and Robert Gonsalves are interested in....Where do our thoughts come from? Who is the person behind the voice inside our head? Why doesn't everyone see or remember their dreams? Or see different images within an object or amongst the shadows?

Your Mission:

For this project you are going to use:
  • Photo of yourself (for extra credit) OR you can choose a random person from the internet. This person will be your frame or your focal point of your travel themed poster.
  • A Place you want to represent for travel. This place can be a made-up, fantasy place, like a place for fairies and elves to live! OR this place that you choose to represent can be a place you wish to travel to and explore,  OR a place that is meaningful to your heritage.
  • Natural elements found in this particular place you chose. For example, clouds, animals, plants.
