Final Project
Option # 1: Product Design

Your Mission:

For this project, you will be designing a "fashion look" in the style of Ben Copperwheat.
You will design ONE article of clothing (T-shirt, crop top, jacket, pants, etc.) and ONE accessory (purse, belt, hat, shoe, etc.) for a customer or targeted audience of your choice (athletes, musicians, toddlers, etc.)

Requirements:
  1. Title: Your look must have an original name located at the top of your design page
  2. Customer: Your design needs to be considered for your targeted audience or customer (toddlers, athletes, musicians, etc.)
    1. Your clientele (customer) needs to be written under your title in a smaller font
  3. Fashion Design: The products you are designing must be based off of a template found online                                                         **YOU CANNOT DRAW OUT YOUR OWN TEMPLATE**
    1. You must design at least ONE article of clothing  (T-Shirt, Jacket, Pants, Crop-Top, Hoodie, etc.)
    2. You must design at least ONE accessory (Backpack, Hand-Bag, Belt, Shoe, Sunglasses, etc.)
  4. Pattern: All products you design must have an original pattern
    1. Your original pattern will be submitted and graded separately
    2. The original pattern design can be created using Photoshop or Illustrator
  5. Call Outs: Each product needs a minimum of 3 call outs describing its special features
    1. Each call out should have a line pointing in the direction of where the special feature is located
    2. Font size for call outs should be standard type size (approx.12 pt.)
  6. Drop Shadows: All products must have a drop shadow
    1. Select everything in your product and group it
    2. Effect > Stylize > Drop Shadow
Process:
  1. Create an original pattern using Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop
    1. Document should be no smaller than an 5" X 5"
    2. Save and upload into your Google Slide Portfolio with the appropriate project title (Final: Pattern Design)
  2. Go onto Google and find a blank template of the product you will be designing
  3. Save the template as a JPEG to your drive
    1. Upload all templates used for your final in your Do Now Portfolio
    2. Open the template(s) onto your 11" X 8.5" (landscape) document (Illustrator is easiest)
      1. Lock the layer
      2. Use the Pen tool to outline the product
        1. Be sure to close each object on separate layers
        2.  Fill each object with a color or gradient  **nothing should be left unfilled**
          1. Each product needs your original pattern design incorporated
        3. Select all objects included in your product and create a drop shadow
  4.  Create a background color or gradient on a new layer
  5. Add your text (title, targeted customer, 3 call outs or more)
  6. Save and upload into your Google Slide Portfolio with the appropriate project title (Final: Product Design)
